Dear Kindergarten Parents:

We are excited to have your child starting in our Kindergarten program here at Pre-Cam Community School at the beginning of September.  As you may have many questions, our Kindergarten teachers, will be scheduling an orientation on September 3rd to discuss our program and expectations with you. We know that parents need to plan for daycare, so please know that if you registered your child for either AM or PM classes, we will honour your request, unless you have already been notified.

On August 30th we will be having a meet the teacher and visit your child’s classroom luncheon from 12:00 until 2:00.  At that time, you will meet your child’s teacher, and visit the classroom. You will also receive more information about the orientation. If you are unable to attend, please contact the school at 306-425-2226 to reschedule a visit.

Kindergarten orientation will be the first day back followed by a staggered start for the first two days of Kindergarten and then normal attendance after that. Half of the children come on the first day and then the other half come the next day to make the introduction to school a little smoother. Bussing is available during the staggered days. Here is what the start schedule will look like:

• September 3: Orientation for all parents and students
  • 9:00 – 10:30 AM: AM Families
  • 1:00 – 2:30 PM: PM Families
• September 4: Staggered Start for families with the last name starting A – M.
• September 5: Staggered start for families with the last name starting N – Z.
• September 6: Everyone attends

You will find out your child’s staggered start at the orientation on September 3rd.
