School Year Calendar 2024-2025
The Northern Lights School Division #113 publishes a school year calendar with important school dates, holidays and days off. Our school includes a few of our more important school events as well in this calendar. Our School Community Council purchases a school year calendar magnet each year for every family so they can post on fridges for quick access to important school dates .
School Safety Drills Schedule
Our school is expected to complete safety drills to prepare students in the event of a fire, of if there is a threat outside or inside the building. We partner with the RCMP and Fire Department to complete the drills as often as possible. The drills are intended to best prepare staff and students in the event of an emergency.
We ensure that we clearly communicate to the students when and what the drill is. Students are provided with advanced notice during the week, and students with special needs are often provided with alternative arrangements so as not to leave them with a negative experience. Teachers will review the drills using the Emergency Measures Response provided by the school division and the Crisis Response Document provided by Pre-Cam.
