We had a ton of fun with your little ones during Pre-Cam's Christmas week. Thank you for attending our Reindeer Festival and please have a safe and joyous break. Classes resume on Wednesday, January 7th. We will see you all in the new year!
Pre-Cam Community School is excited to announce our Reindeer Festival on Thursday, December 18th. Doors will be open at 4:45 PM and the festival ends at 7:30 PM. ![]()
We have many exciting activities and events to share. We invite families from Pre-K to Grade 6 to attend with their children. Here are a list of the events and a brief description:![]()
Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 3 Christmas Concert
- Pre-K to Grade 3 classes have been preparing for performances with their teachers and our art teacher Mrs. Potts! This year, parents are asked to have their children dressed in semi-formal Christmas themed clothing. There is a “waiting station” by the gym where parents will drop their children off 20 minutes before their performance time. Select grade 5-6 students will be backstage hands during one performance. Families will be able to come and go from the gym to watch the performances as they please. After a performance, families are encouraged to take part in the rest of the Reindeer Festival! ![]()
PCCS Christmas Choir
- Mrs. Putz and her Pre-Cam Christmas Choir will be circulating throughout the school singing carols to all our guests! ![]()
Survival Kit Donation
- Mrs. Cross and Mrs. Schertzing’s classes are asking for your spare change! Please donate your spare coins to their jar in the entryway. Their classes will use the money to create survival kits for the un-housed population in La Ronge and area over the winter months.![]()
Reindeer Festival Games and Prizes
- All families will be able to partake in our games; Christmas bingo, pin the nose on the reindeer, and pin the star on the tree. All guests will be able to put their name in for a prize of a $50 Co-op Gift Card. There is one winner for each grade! The winners will be announced the following day.![]()
Christmas Crafts
- Create an ornament for your tree this year! We have two stations, a candy cane reindeer and a birch wooden ornament. All the supplies are there and our elves are here to help!![]()
Children’s Winter Clothing Swap
- Parents can drop off sizes 6-12 snowpants, youth medium/large winter jackets, and mitts, for Pre-Cam students in need of winter clothing. Visitors can take from the table, swap clothing, or privately go to the Quad 3 Bathroom to try on items for privacy. We are looking for pre-owned winter clothing that remains in great shape.![]()
Spaghetti Meal and Gourmet Hot Chocolate Station
- Spaghetti and buns will be served at the back of the gymnasium with tables and chairs set up, allowing guests an opportunity to quietly relax and enjoy some Christmas performances. Later, head to our gourmet hot chocolate station to make yourself a delicious beverage!![]()
Photos with Santa
Grab your kids, come to the library and take a seat next to Santa for individual or family pictures! Our helper elves can snap some pictures if you like or you can do it on your own. Santa is excited to hear what’s on your wish list this year!![]()
Pre-Cam Food Drive
We are asking for non-perishable items that can be donated and placed under our Christmas tree in the library. Pre-Cam will deliver to the La Ronge Food Bank.
Preferred: Canned fish or meat, pork & beans, peanut butter, powdered or canned milk, macaroni or rice, canned soup, 1 litre juices, kids applesauce, tinned tomatoes or pasta sauce, granola bars, cooking oil, diapers.![]()
Bake Sale
Our grade six bake sale will be offering plates of dainties for our hungry reindeer guests. This fundraiser will go towards the year end festivities and celebrations of our grade six students who will be moving on to Churchill Community High School next year!
