Dear Pre-K Parents:
We are excited to have your child starting in our Pre-K program here at Pre-Cam Community School at the beginning of September. As you may have many questions, Kelsi Ward and Jarica Smith, our Pre-K teachers, will be scheduling home visits for September 3, 4, & 5th to discuss our program and expectations with you. We know that parents need to plan for daycare, so please know that if you registered your child for either AM or PM classes, we will honour your request, unless you have already been notified.
On August 30th we will be having a meet the teacher and visit your child’s classroom luncheon from 12:00 until 2:00. At that time, you will find out who your child’s teacher is, meet their teacher, and visit the classroom. You will also be able to sign up for a home visit. If you are unable to attend, please contact Miss Ward or Mrs. Smith at 306-425-2226 to schedule a visit.
Our Pre-K’s will have a staggered start for the first two weeks of Pre-K and then normal attendance after that. Half of the children come on their alternating day schedule and then the other half come for their days to make the introduction to school a little smoother. Bussing is available during the staggered two weeks. Here is what the start schedule will look like:
- September 3,4,5: Home Visits
- September 6,9,10,11: Staggered start (only half class attends – Pre-K teachers will share the schedule with families).
- September 12: Everyone attends
- September 13: No school for pre-k students
You will find out your child’s staggered start schedule on September 3rd.
