Updated Return to Pre-Cam After the Evacuation
Dear Pre-Cam Families,
We hope this message finds you safe and well. We are about to return home from the evacuation. I know that this brings many mixed feelings and seeing our home will bring relief and the changes the fire made will be heartbreaking. Our hearts are with those who have lost their homes.
Following the recent fire evacuation, we are pleased to share that Pre-Cam Community School will be ready to welcome students back for a brief but meaningful conclusion to the school year.
School re-entry plan as approved by the Northern Lights School Division No. 113:
All staff will be returning to in-person work on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. We will reopen our doors to students on Thursday, June 19, 2025. These days will provide an important opportunity for students and staff to reconnect, gather their personal belongings, and bring closure to the school year in a positive and supportive environment.
To celebrate the strength and spirit of our community, we will be holding our Year-End Assembly on Tuesday, June 24. We hope this celebration brings a sense of joy, accomplishment, and togetherness as we wrap up an unforgettable year. We are hoping to celebrate our pre-k, kindergarten, and grade 6’s accomplishments, but will communicate this to families next week.
Report Card Pickup:
Students are invited to pick up their report cards Wednesday, June 25 from 9:00-10:00. Buses will be running in the morning as usual and will be taking students back home at 10:00.
Transportation:
NorthWinds Bus Lines will be operating on their regular schedule on Thursday, June 19.
We want to take a moment to recognize the incredible resiliency shown by our students, families, and staff during this time. Your strength, patience, and support have been truly inspiring. As we move forward, we are looking forward to reconnecting with everyone—to share smiles, stories, and a sense of closure before summer break begins.

POWER OUTAGE AT PRE-CAM, January 21, 2025
Dear Parents,
The power is currently out at Pre-Cam. The plan for our school is that if the power does not come back on before 2:30 PM, we request that parents pick up their child.
Students who take the bus, or walk home will need to stay at Pre-Cam School either until 3:43 PM or until parents pick them up.
Parents who come to the school will need to check in with their child’s classroom teacher.
All after school extra-curricular activities will be cancelled if the power does not come back on by 2:30 PM.
