The school division has paid for a student subscription to IXL which they can access through their school email and the app Clever. Most of the students in the higher grades should have an easy time logging in as they frequently use this app at school with their Chromebooks and tablets.
Games we Love:
We would like to encourage parents to play board games, card games, playing with money, discussing time, and counting/patterns games with their children at home. Flashcards are great as well, so long as you ensure that you keep it fun and quick. Help students foster a love of math by having conversations with them about how math is everywhere. Look for children’s stories which demonstrate elements of math!
